Upcoming: Virtual Fedora workshop (June 21, 2025)

Planning a virtual event to scale outreach.

  • What Participants Will Learn:

    • Fedora’s open-source ecosystem

    • Fedora contribution workflow (Docs & Dev)

    • Live demo of Fedora Docs contribution

  • Goals:

    • Onboard new Fedora contributors

    • Provide hands-on experience

    • Strengthen buddy/group contribution systems

This follows Fedora DEI and CHAOSS best practices.

Creating pathways for newcomers

To make onboarding even smoother for new Fedora contributors, I opened a Welcome to Fedora ticket in Pagure for another new contributor. The goal? To ensure newcomers can quickly understand the community, access helpful resources, and get involved without feeling lost. It’s part of my ongoing mission to make open source more accessible and welcoming.
